MYZ Studio | Architecture & Interiors
MYZ Studio is an architectural and interior design practice founded by Mertkan Yorulmaz (M.Arch.) in 2020 located in Istanbul. The studio works on many different scales and typologies of buildings and spaces that are the subject of architectural design without discriminating them. The multi-sensual experience of space has always been a key input in the studio’s design process. While architectural concept design and project planning is the main expertise of MYZ Studio, it also provides architectural supervision and consultancy services. However, the practice of architectural visualization has always been one of the studio’s main tools to represent the ideas for the space and concept. Therefore, it also provides consultancy and educational services in this discipline.
The founder M.Arch. Mertkan Yorulmaz worked for different architecture and construction firms in Istanbul for several years after graduating from Istanbul Kultur University. He worked as design and site architect in various projects like industrial buildings, residentials, offices, commercials and interiors. Orzax Esenyurt Office, Yılmak HQ Office, Ayyıldız Factory and Avcılar Emay Houses are some of the prominent projects he primarily worked in. At the late years of working in the industry, he took part in consultancy and educational services of digital architectural tools within FGA Architecture – an industry leading company distributes digital architectural softwares in Turkey. Collabrated with FGA, he served as architectural visualization consultant and lecturer to many significant architecture and construction firms in Turkey. After all these experiences, he formed his own architecture practice MYZ Studio in Istanbul and continues to design, visualize and build spaces.
